What the petition asks
During the Covid-19 pandemic, offices were closed, workers in mass were sent to work from home. This had shown great benefits for workers, businesses and the environment. With modern technology, many workers can work from home and do their job. Work from home should become a modern worker's right.
Working from home has be found to add great benefit to society at large. More time spent with family and friends due to no longer needing to commute, resulted in greater mental well-being. This is turn reduced stress levels and better child welfare. This is a key step to improving societal health, and lowering the burden on the NHS.
Emissions have been reduced as less people cram into cars for a daily commute. With the advent of global warming, this helps the U' become carbon neutral.
