What the petition asks
The Government should ban plastic bags from being used for online deliveries.
Since March 2020 supermarkets have been exempted from imposing a charge for plastic bags. 490 million fewer single-use plastic bags were used during 2018/19 but that has now changed & is on the rise again.
The Government should help to reduce plastic consumption by banning major supermarkets from using plastic bags for deliveries.
