To cover sickle cell in life insurance
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
It is estimated that there are between 12,500 and 15,000 people with sickle cell disease in the UK. I think it is inhuman that people with this disease or trait of this disease cannot qualify for life insurance.
The number of people with this disease will increase due to more births and increased population.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the terms of insurance policies - this is a matter for insurance providers.
