What the petition asks

I want the Government to raise the current minimum fine from £100 to £250 if you break the rules but reduced to £125 if paid within 14 days

I feel the some of the UK public are treating this fine as a parking ticket offence and this currently does not send out the message that this disease is serious enough and that it could get out of control and of course the best way to get something home is to hit the pocket hard of these people who are offending at will

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has significantly increased fines. If you'd that to change, you could start a new petition explaining what you'd like to be different.
