What the petition asks
We want the UK Government to change the minimum required number of jobs needed to be created by an employer who is applying for the kickstart scheme from 30 to 2.
The kickstart scheme was created to help businesses in the UK but the minimum requirement that an employer must create at least 30 jobs to make an application has made it difficult for SMEs businesses in the UK.
95% of businesses in the UK are micro-business which means they employer 1-9 people. The kickstart scheme will not benefit majority of businesses in the UK.
Employers can make joint applications by partnering with other businesses, this will be difficult for accomplish and employers will also have to pay a representative too.
