Make support more accessible for children with SEND.

What the petition asks
The government needs to make support more accessible for families with SEND. Educationally, financially, and care wise. Information is difficult to come by and it is a very hard, emotional and long process to get the child the support they have a right to.
My son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder this year. All the information we have, we had to find out for ourselves with no help off any government led healthcare professional.
We have been made to jump through hoops to apply for an EHCP that many people do not know about. This is more than a 20 week process, within which time I have seen my child regress exponentially.
The process does not put my child's needs at the forefront.
Every child has a right to education and support.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're sorry to hear about the difficult time you and your son have been having.
Unfortunately we can't publish your petition because we're not sure exactly what you'd like to happen. Petitions need to make a clear request to the Government, such as calling for increased funding to schools and council to speed up the process for EHCPs, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
