Make poetry non compulsory for this year's GCSEs.

It became optional to remove poetry from the English GCSEs this year because of the time lost because of the pandemic. It has now became compulsory which means we have to drop a play that we have already studied which means we have lost time.

Ofqual, the qualifications and exams regulator, decided to make only three of the four areas of study exam-assessed. It is then up to individual exam boards and schools to decide which areas of study are followed within these guidelines.
