Extend furlough for restricted sectors
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Please extend the furlough scheme in restricted sectors to protect jobs and make sure the businesses can get up and running as quickly as possible once restrictions are fully lifted.
The current arrangement for furlough is not taking into account the asymmetric nature of the businesses that are still affected by the virus and will be unable to open in any meaningful way by the end of October. I want the government to allow industries such as aviation, travel, music, theatre and tourism to have furlough extended so that they can have a workforce ready for when they can fully reopen.
Why it was rejected
