Petition · past parliament

Regulate puppy prices so that it is less desirable to create puppy farms.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I would like the government to regulate and cap the prices of puppies and dogs so that it is no longer attractive to have puppy farms, to use and abuse dogs for financial gain. Criminalise and fine people that try to charge more than the cap.
I bought a dog today and she had been used for breeding by travellers. The dog is a wreck and I don’t know how long it will take to bring this dog a semblance of peace and happiness. She must have been kept in a cage and was totally neglected. She is petrified of humans. If the prices of dogs was regulated, these vile and cruel extortionists would not find it so attractive to engage in this practise.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
