Increase the tax relief for landlords with only one main property.

What the petition asks
It is hard for middle-class workers to pay extra tax for rental income from their sole property; they had to rent it out because of a temporary reallocation due to work or childcare. They are paying tax on top of a normal mortgage and additional rent.
I propose to increase the tax relief for landlords with only one property under their name.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition which calls for the same action: Allow landlords full tax relief on finance costs such as mortgage interest
