Reinstate COVID “shielding” for extremely vulnerable individuals NOW.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Extremely vulnerable individuals to COVID 19 are defined in government guidance including : transplant, cancer and immune therapy patients. These were asked to shield up to August 1st when COVID cases were around 700/day. They are now over 3000. The risk has increased four fold.
Government must urgently reinstate shielding guidance for extremely vulnerable individuals and their employers, and reinstate support to keep individuals safe from the current spike in cases until such a time as background levels fall to where they were when shielding ended.
This must be done TODAY as the risk is exponentially increasing and delays will increase risk to our most vulnerable.
