Stop Internal Market Bill, enabling Government to break international law

What the petition asks
The UK Government is pursuing legislation which would enable it to break international law by overruling an international agreement signed with the EU. This is unprecedented. It will forever damage the UKs international reputation.
Britain is a founder of international law, how can we expect other countries to follow it if we don't ourselves?
The tabling of this bill has provoked outrage from two former PMs and caused two of the Government's most senior legal advisors to quit in protest.
These warnings should be heeded.
This Government signed the current agreement into law in full knowledge of the situation and cannot break the law now because it is 'politically convenient'.
There is a procedure to make amendments to the agreement in a committee with the EU, this Government should follow that, not break international law to get its way.
