What the petition asks
Make it law that temporary and fixed traffic lights must have adequate sensors that also detect the presence of solo bicycles.
At the moment many are sensing the arrival of an oncoming motor vehical and changing lights whilst cyclists are still going through, risking a head-on collision!

Fitting adequate sensors that detect the presence if bicycles at traffic lights would at the very least remove the alarm and terror from a cyclist suddenly and unexpectedly facing over a ton of steel driving toward them, head on; or more importantly, possibly save lives.
