Exclude children from the ‘Rule of 6’

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

We would like the government to follow Scotland and Wales’ lead and exclude children from the ‘Rule of 6’. We feel that the current rule does not take into account larger families.
As a family of 6 we are now no longer able to see any grandparents or loved ones without splitting up our young family, yet gyms, pubs, schools and sporting events go on as normal.

Surely seeing an extended family member or a friend from their school bubble is safer than 6 uni students from different households meeting up at a pub?

We propose children under the age of 12 to be excluded from the rule but they must be from just 2 households.
