What the petition asks
Review and set limits so as money saved can fund the pensioners BBC licence. Salaries of over 1m prohibited
The list showing BBC salaries is disgusting especially as they (BBC) are cutting the over 75's license fee
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The BBC is operationally and editorially independent of Government, and therefore talent pay is a matter for the BBC, not the Government or House of Commons.
