Allow Venues,Stadia & Hotels with Covid Controls in place to operate at capacity

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The Coronavirus Bill allows changes when it is an effective means of preventing or controlling the transmission of coronavirus.

The event ecosystem has put controls in place to prevent transmission. Stopping venues having larger numbers is unlawful: it is not an effective means of prevention.
Our knowledge of how to control the spread of Covid-19 has markedly moved on since March 2020. Leaders within the hospitality and events industry have spent millions ensuring their venues, crowd controls and operations are prepared for Covid Prevention.

Venues must be allowed to operate to limits conducive and reflective of their size and capability to safely host guests. This needs to happen now before millions more jobs are lost.
