What the petition asks
In light of newly considerations re tighter national rules to combat COVID, I urge the government not to consider the closure of zoos, wildlife parks and rehabiltation centres, unless there is verifiable effidence that imcreased infections are linked to visits of such venues.
Zoos, wildlife parks and rehabilitation centres have taken a significant financial impact that is still threatening the continuation of these businesses. These places provide vital contributions to maintain our natural environment, to prevent the extinction of endangered species, to help injured wildlife and educate about our natural world, on which we all rely. Their closure may lead to the death of animals and the loss of many jobs.
