Fund the full restoration of the Grade II listed Hammersmith Bridge

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Hammersmith Bridge is at serious risk of collapse and loss forever. Grade II listed and designed by civil engineer Sir Joseph Bazalgette, it rare in its design and structure. It is of great cultural and historical value as one of the most distinctive bridges that cross the Thames.
Currently there is a deadlock between Hammersmith & Fulham Council, Transport for a London and the Government on who who take responsibility for funding a full restoration of the bridge, which is currently estimated at between £141m and £163.

We ask that the Government take decisive steps to secure urgent funding to save this bridge from imminent collapse and to fully restore this historically and culturally important bridge.
