What the petition asks
Allow sugar free squash all day in the classroom
Allow sugar free squash in the classroom some children go all day without a drink because they dislike water.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Government sets standards for food and drinks that are provided by schools but it is up to individual schools, not the Government or House of Commons, to decide whether to set any rules about what food and drink students can bring into school.
We could accept petitions calling on the Government to lift restrictions on schools from being able to serve squash, if that is something you would like to happen.
