Require all public services to have a trained domestic abuse lead

What the petition asks
We ask the Government to make it mandatory for all public services, including schools, housing departments, children's services, social care teams, GPs, benefit offices and Child maintenance services, to have a trained domestic abuse lead in their teams.
We know how hard it is to speak out about abuse, and disclosures may not be made to the police.
In trying to escape an abusive relationship or while remaining in one we come into contact with many services.
There are so many missed opportunities by services with lack of understanding and knowledge that many are missed or not given the right support.
1 in 3 women, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 6 men will experience domestic abuse at some point in their lifetime.
