What the petition asks

There is currently a preposterous proposition to close the Old Bridge from Godmanchester to Huntingdon. I would like Borris Johnson to ban this closure and make it a criminal offence for anyone to attempt such closures in the future.

Closing this bridge is another attack on the motorist. It will lead to more congestion, impact businesses and cost lives. This is an attack by the village busybodies and has no benefits for the local community. This must stop.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
