What the petition asks
The government have taken brutal steps without pausing to think of the financial impact that they are having on young families.
The government should compensate all families whose weddings they have destroyed the sum of £16,000. (Average wedding cost 2020)

The government should either lift all restrictions (with the exception of PPE requirements) on wedding venues, and permit groups to meet for the weddings they have been planning for many years.
If they will not do this, they should compensate every couple who can prove their wedding plans were in place before 01/01/2020 for the average cost of a wedding, £16,000.00.
