What the petition asks

For too long we have seen paedophiles get light sentences in prison. These people are a danger to our communities, our children and shouldn’t be allowed back on the streets. There is absolutely no rehabilitation process available for these ill minded people so keep them off the streets permanently.

I see it in the news all the time. Paedophiles getting 3-5 years in prison for having sexual contact with children as young as 4 years old. It’s disgusting and an absolute tragedy to our justice system. Soon as they get back out on the streets they will just reoffend in the hopes that they don’t get caught. The affects these people have on the victims will last a lifetime so in my opinion the perpetrator should spend a lifetime behind bars.
