What the petition asks
Due to COVID-19 many students have missed out on crucial content as not everyone was able to work remotely for various reasons. Some for example include IT issues, anxiety due to uncertain times and challenging working environments, not the mention the fact that many assessments have not taken place.
To allow students to fulfil their maximum potential and not be robbed of their right to a higher education due to a pandemic. A large amount of time was taken from the academic year and it would be unjust to not take this into careful consideration. There has been changes to GCSES yet not current changes to A levels which has hit many students hard due to the large amount of content required for all subjects.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Entry requirements are a matter for individual institutions.
