The UK government must grant independence for Kent

What the petition asks
The government must allow the creation of a democratically elected, devolved administration for the county of Kent with the power to set its own tax rates, decide its own health and education policies, and control its borders - including with the rest of the UK.
Whenever there are troubles at border customs our motorways become car parks. For years the county has been left on its own to shoulder the responsibility of asylum seekers. Our hospitals are some of the worst performing and underfunded in the country, and many of our communities seem to have been abandoned.
Our fine county can only return to its former glory as an autonomous region, free from the shackles of Westminster and a government that persistently fails the great people of Kent.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This would be a decision for the people of Kent. You could have a petition calling for the Government to hold a referendum, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
