What the petition asks
The Government should amend the BBC's royal charter to cap the maximum salary paid to a presenter/actor, news reader or any other BBC employee that is paid through the TV license fee to £250,000.
I would like the government to cap BBC salaries as I see the BBC as a public service and the people who work for it as public employees.
Capping BBC salaries would not prevent BBC employees earning money from other ventures not paid through the license fee.
