Cancel the Curfew

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Remove the 10pm curfew imposed on hospitality by the Government and allow businesses to continue trading as they have been - in accordance with the guidance, safely and securely.
The latest statistics suggest that infections in hospitality establishments are among the lowest in any area - This curfew unfairly punishes the industry as well as pushing customers into unregulated, unsafe environments.

A large number of establishments (particularly "wet-led") rely on trade post-10pm. Forcing businesses to close this early reduces trading time substantially and will lead to closures, mass job losses and a huge reduction in tax revenue for the public purse.
