Increase SEISS from 20% back to 70% of earnings for self employed support.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

The current help available for all freelancers and self employed has now dropped From 70% to only 20% of earnings. No one can survive on 20%. We urgently need this changed to avoid people’s lives being totally devastated.
Covid has left everyone and our economy in turmoil. Many can return to work or work from home. Those who are freelance or self employed in the live music or arts industry cannot do this. For those, the SEISS support is a lifeline . 70% of earnings is perhaps possible to live from but 20% is beyond unreasonable. No one can survive on 20%. This must be returned back to 70% as it was before as people face financial ruin and loss of income and possibly their homes.
