Ensure emergency access to residential properties of single, disabled people

What the petition asks
Public and private landlords, including care homes, should be required to ensure that homes of single disabled people can be immediately accessed in an emergency. This could be achieved by fitting a key safe for use by emergency services, removing the time needed wait on a key holder or break entry.
My mother died on the 28th Dec. The care company called the ambulance but did not mention there was an automatic door and a key fob was needed to gain entry. The ambulance arrived but could not gain access until I arrived. My mum was dead on arrival. The Government should ensure emergency services are able to gain access to all properties in the event of an emergency.
