What the petition asks
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the arts industry hard, and the industry is in desperate need of a financial support package from the Government so that thousands do not lost their jobs, and to ensure that cinemas, theatres, music venues are not forced to shut their doors forever.
The arts industry is one that is integral to society. Whether it's films, theatre, or gigs, going to these events gives us unforgettable experiences, make memories that will last a lifetime, and also to make new friends.
The pandemic has hit these industries hard and with Cinema chain Cineworld potentially laying off all of its staff and shutting till next year, I urge the government to provide a substantial relief package to help these industries survive in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
