Remove the permission in all Terms & Conditions for corporations to share Data.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

Remove the permission in all Terms and Conditions for corporations to share harvested Data between themselves.
I would like the government to do so, because why should these big corporations need to share and/or sell our data amongst themselves, our personal lives do not have a price tag, they are worthless, the only time data should be shared is to the governing authorities.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Under new GDPR rules, organisations holding personal data must have a lawful basis for processing this data, including sharing it with a third party. For the sharing of data with a third party the lawful basis will normally be consent.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to prohibit companies holding personal data from sharing this in any circumstances, if that is what you want to happen.
