Stop Gatwick from introducing Drop off Fees

What the petition asks
prevent Gatwick Airport from introducing Drop off fees
Understandably Gatwick need to recover financially from the covid crises, however we would like to see the government step in and subsidise the airport for financial losses instead of asking the public and business' alike who use the drop-off point to cough up the money for their loss. Additionally make it a pick up point with social distancing in order to limit foot traffic thus the spread of covid around the airport.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be an operational decision for the company who owns and operates the airport, not the UK Government or Parliament.
