Change the GICs for transgender people, instead make an informed consent model

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I want the government to get rid of GICs and instead focus that money on a primary care, informed consent model.
I want this change since the current system follows old ideology and it’s causing issues such as wait times. The wait times are escalating and the only way to stop this upwards trend is an informed consent model. This will allow the wait times to decrease, a better doctor to patient relationship, and better access to healthcare which is what the NHS is meant to be about. This will because rather than lots of people going to a few locations they will be spread out more.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about the treatment of patients is a matter for the NHS and individual medical professionals, not the Government or House of Commons.
