Freeze the salary of all Members of Parliament

What the petition asks
Do not give MPs an increase in salary
It is showing contempt for the public, many who have lost livelihoods, businesses, and more.
To give members an increase in salary, is insulting, as they have not attended to vote on critical matters, and have ignored the voices of the electorate.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for setting MPs' pay. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
