Mandate automatic restrictions on offenders to protect victims of violent crime

What the petition asks
The Government should mandate automatic restrictions, through restraining orders, injunctions or licence conditions, to ensure that violent offenders are not allowed to contact or live in close proximity to their victims.
Violent offenders are not always subject to restrictions to prevent them contacting or living near victims, and it is costly for victims to apply for injunctions. All violent offenders should automatically be subject to restrictions that protect victims.
In 2016 I was assaulted, which has had a big impact on my mental health. Now my attacker lives in the same block of flats. We tried to get injunction but the costs were too high. I want to prevent further victims of being in fear.
