What the petition asks

I have spent the last 12 years of my life dedicated to a sport that I love. Covid has had huge impact on that sport and I want to know that my government are working towards bringing it back. Saying simply retrain isn’t good enough.

This new add campaign is nothing short of an insult to every person in the UK that has spent years of their lives dedicated to a profession they love. Particularly when those telling us to reskill are unaffected. This is like asking Boris Johnson to retrain as a Ballet dancer and Rishi Sunak to get a job as a boxing coach.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We understand that you are concerned about the Rethink, Reskill, Reboot advertisements, but this campaign was run QA, not the UK Government, so we can't accept a petition calling for it to be ended, as this would be a matter for QA, not the Government or House of Commons.
