Enforce that stolen dogs become a priority in the police force.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The government need to make stolen dogs a priority with the police. It’s disgusting that they aren’t classed as any priority and stolen dogs end up being lost forever.
It’s come to my attention that even when police are given FULL DETAILS address and names given of the thief they still refuse to attend until it becomes in their priority list. They then tell the owners also not to attend which means the list dog will never be reunited. It’s a crime, it’s a theft of a LIVING ANIMAL, it’s disgusting that this in 2020 is still not a priority. Something needs to happen ASAP before this happens constantly.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The priorities of police forces are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or House of Commons.
