Help us remove the HGV’s through Chipping Norton causing dangerous pollution.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Debate the failure to deliver improvements in line with the AQMA (Air Quality Management) requirements change the route of HGV’S, in Chipping Norton and encourage more electric vehicles(provide more charging posts for EVs).
Ask for a full debate to create an alternative route for HGV’s.
This issue has remained for more than 10 years and no council had made the decision to improve the level of pollution in Chipping Norton which are now at dangerous levels.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about local road restrictions and air quality measures are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the Government or House of Commons.
