Ban the sale of all glitter products due to environmental impacts

What the petition asks
All glitter products should be banned to prevent environmental impacts, including microplastics ending up in streams and rivers, harming aquatic life.
The Government has banned the use of microbeads and other plastic products. But other microplastics are still at large, affecting our ecosystems.
PET glitter is made with plastics, and has been found to affect birds, plankton, plants and fish. Now a study at Anglia Ruskin University has found eco-glitters also have adverse environmental impacts: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jhazmat.2020.124070
It's time to say goodbye to glitter to protect our planet.
