2 week circuit break lockdown during schools half term - to include furlough pay

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Immediately make a motion to impose a 2 week national lockdown during school holidays. All business using the furlough scheme to be able to use it at it's original rate for the 2 week period.

Circuit break lockdown could happen during school half term, but as soon as possible.
The three tier system is not being effective or being applied in an urgent enough manner or in a consistent way.

Gyms open or closed, depending where you are.

We can all do without meeting in pubs for two weeks - and if the employees are paid, two weeks is not going to let stock go to waste.

Everyone can help and do their bit to help the quick, sharp, short lockdown - better than going into FULL lockdown again before Christmas.

This will help us all cut down the virus transmission.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has announced a new national lockdown, from 5 November to 2 December: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november
