Make face-masks mandatory in all public spaces - indoors and out

Closed 84 signatures

What the petition asks

Make it obligatory to wear a face-mask - that covers both the nose and mouth - in all public places both inside and out. People under 11 years old and those with certain health issues should be exempt. The mask can be removed for eating and drinking.
The practice of mandatory face-mask wearing amongst populations has shown to cut down the risk of spreading Covid-19. Given the situation of high-infection the country is experiencing, wearing face-masks in this way - in addition to practicing social-distancing and frequently washing hands with soap and water - will really help with keeping the infection rates to a minimum. It helps promote a sense of solidarity - a visible sign that everyone is acting together to try to minimise infection.
