Stop congestion charge zone extension to the North & South Circular roads London
Rejected

What the petition asks
Stop the extension of the congestion charge as this will affect the freedom of movement of people within London.
Along with the freedom of movement being reduced like the previous congestion charge this will increase traffic in the surrounding areas. Unlike the previous congestion charge the new proposed zone is generally residential; which would penalise many residents and SME's for living and operating in those areas.
This will have a negative affect for many of us especially SME's as this would increase transport, and operation costs while reducing revenue due to the reduction in footfall.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
It has been reported that the UK Government has suggested that London's congestion zone be extended, but doing so would be a matter for the London Assembly and the London Mayor.
