Fund free public transport for all children in England under the age of 18

What the petition asks
The Government should make it free for all children to travel on public transport. Children by law need to attend school and education settings, and many have limited financial means.
Charging children to pay for transport only punishes parents, many of whom are struggling financially, and prevents children from being able to exercise may of the rights set out in the UN Convention on the rights of the Child, which the UK signed in 1990, some are listed below:
