Review language of legislation and policy on children's educational needs
Closed

What the petition asks
The legislation and Government policy using the word “special” to describe the educational needs of particular children is singling out children with additional needs. The language in relevant legislation and policy needs changing. We want the word SPECIAL gone completely
By referring to children with “special” educational needs these children are being singled out, which can make them a target to bullying. Let's get rid of the word SPECIAL altogether.
