What the petition asks
Request the Treasury to extend the holiday and ensure the everyone has access to VAT free PPE for the duration of the COVID 19 pandemic
The government wants people to comply with their instructions on wearing face covering to help reduce the level of transmission of Covid 19.
Adding VAT to PPE at the end of the current VAT holiday will make it much harder for people to afford theis essential equipment and will therefore undermine the ability of people to comply with health guidance.
