Ban the marketing of ‘stew with a hat’ as a ‘pie’ in restaurants.

What the petition asks
Force restaurants to serve their ‘pies’ COMPLETELY ENCLOSED in pastry (or at least one side, in the case of a ‘slice’ of pie only) if they wish to market them as pies. If they wish to serve casserole with a tiny piece of puff pastry on top, they must be clear about this.
I am a pie lover. A pie aficionado. A man of the pie. I know I’m not the only one.
Is there anything worse than ordering a delicious pie, breaking it open and discovering that the beautifully buttery, crusty pastry you were expecting to contain your meaty treat is NOT THERE?!
It is unfair, it is dishonest and it needs to be stopped.
Nobody should have to spend their hard-earned money on what they think is going to be a delicious meaty, pastry capsule, only to receive a glorified ‘Fray Bentos’

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government aren't responsible for the marketing of food.
