Allow Open University students access to a maintenance loan provided by SFE

What the petition asks
Introduce a distinction between part time and full time students studying with The Open University and allow them a receive a maintenance loan provided by Student Finance, provided they meet the requirements.
A maintenance loan is just as much of a loan as is the tuition fee loan, which they can already access and an Open University degree is no different to any other degree and not attending a local university physically does not mean they need less financial support.
Provided their submission for a maintenance loan meets the requirements and considers any income during their studying, there is no reason Open University students should be discriminated against.
