Petition · past parliament

Urgently reform the NHS Test and Trace (England) system.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Use the time we have, due to the lockdown beginning on Thursday 5th November, to reform NHS Test and Trace (England).
To prevent repeated national lockdowns, we must be able to control the spread of the virus. We have seen that we cannot do that with our current system. The government must take this opportunity to implement a fit for purpose Test, Trace, Isolate and Support system.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about the effectiveness of the current Test and Trace system, but it's not clear what you want the Government to do about this.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Remove private companies from the Covid-19 NHS Test and Trace system: Remove private companies from the Covid-19 NHS Test and Trace system

Hold a public inquiry into spending on test and trace: Hold a public inquiry into spending on test and trace

We could accept other petitions calling for changes to how Test and Trace works, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made.
