What the petition asks

Give the £106 Billion in taxpayers money to the NHS. HS2 is not needed now especially as England goes into it's second lockdown, more people are working from home.
The NHS is struggling.

⚠️HS2 will destroy 108 ancient woodlands and 693 protected wildlife sites.
⚠️This is the most wildlife destruction/deforestation since WW1.
⚠️HS2 have commited numerous wildlife crimes including cutting down trees in nesting and cubbing season.
⚠️ Hundreds of thousands of peoples water supply will be potentially contaminated due to pile driving into aquifers.
⚠️HS2 is the most expensive infrastructure project in the UK.
⚠️HS2 have compulsory purchased thousands of peoples homes and farmers land, without giving proper or ANY compensation.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Cancel HS2 and use the money for the NHS and local economies, post Covid-19.
