Re-open place of worship during this lockdown
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The government have advised that place of worship should be closed again during this lockdown. Majority of Places of worship since reopening have deployed social distancing policies and complied with all covid measures such as sanitize, no interaction in with other member's and track & trace.
I urge the government to reconsider especially with them leaving schools/colleges open.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Places of worship are able to remain open for independent prayer, funerals or funeral commemorative events, to broadcast an act of worship, to provide essential voluntary services or urgent public support services, for registered childcare, and to host permitted gatherings: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november
